Is ActiveClient compatible with Windows 10?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

Based on the information I have found, the software/platform is not compatible with Windows 10.

This is the list with the supported Windows versions:

  • Microsoft: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2

As you can see, Windows 10 is not supported.

Does Active Identity use LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) or replace it?

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

According to the product's official website, the ActivIdentity program doesn't use LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), but it has a similar functionality. Using this program, you can access multiple network computers, can help you store public key infrastructure (PKI) and also provide remote access capabilities. The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is a vendor-neutral protocol that can or can't be used in programs. I suggest that you visit the mentioned page above. By doing this you can figure out if this is a program that suits you or not.
