According to the product's official website, the ActivIdentity program doesn't use LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), but it has a similar functionality. Using this program, you can access multiple network computers, can help you store public key infrastructure (PKI) and also provide remote access capabilities. The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is a vendor-neutral protocol that can or can't be used in programs. I suggest that you visit the mentioned page above. By doing this you can figure out if this is a program that suits you or not.
